In 2021 a small group of local people in Hackney, London got together to screen the London premiere of Gabor Mate's documentary; The Wisdom of Trauma. The screenings were held at the Flow Space in Dalston and over 70 people attended.
A second screening was hosted by Hackney Cooperative Developments in collaboartion with the BioHive and Urban MBA. The second screening was followed by process where we faciliated an 8 week trauma study circle.
The study circle approach has led to an extraordinary flourishing of projects supporting the growth of trauma-informed practice in a variety of settings including the Peabody Trust Housing Association and as far afield as South Africa.
